- I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Santa Clara University
- My first career was in theatre, I worked as a Costume Designer for 3 years
- I lived and worked as a Project Manager in Zimbabwe for 6 months in 1997
- I worked at a Silicon Valley startup during the dotcom boom
- I love doing usability tests
- I write HTML and CSS without the use of a WYSIWYG editor
- My favorite software program is Adobe Illustrator
- I am detail-oriented and quite the perfectionist
- I actually enjoy writing documentation
- My name means “flower” in Persian, Arabic and Swahili
- I grew up in Weed, a small town in rural northern California
- I was the valedictorian of Weed High School, class of 1992
- My parents, James and Kathy, are both retired teachers
- My 3 younger siblings are named Anthony, Cameron and Dalila
- I have been riding the same motorcycle for 15 years: 1981 Suzuki GS450
- I only eat Granny Smith apples because they are always crisp and tart
- I’ve been to Burning Man 9 times
- My favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, William Gibson and Neal Stephenson
