- My first career was in theatre, I worked as a costume designer for three years
- I lived and worked as a project manager in Zimbabwe for six months in 1997
- I have experienced the chaos of a Silicon Valley startup during the dotcom boom
- I love doing usability tests
- I write HTML and CSS without the use of a WYSIWYG editor
- My favorite software program is Adobe Illustrator
- I am detail-oriented and quite the perfectionist

- My name means “flower” in Arabic and Swahili
- I was born and raised in rural northern California, my hometown is called Weed
